Why Use Multiple Playlists in TiviMate?
TiviMate Premium's multiple playlist feature lets you run up to 10 separate IPTV accounts on one device simultaneously. Common use cases include:
Primary + Backup Provider
Keep two IPTV accounts — switch to backup instantly if the primary server has downtime.
Family Profiles
Separate playlist for kids' channels and one for adult sports/movies. Each has its own favorites.
Sports + Entertainment
Sports-focused playlist (all RSNs, ESPN, etc.) and a general entertainment playlist organized separately.
Multi-Language
English-language channels in one playlist, Spanish or other international packages in a second.
Premium Required: Multiple playlists require TiviMate Premium ($4.99/year, purchased via TiviMate Companion on Google Play). The free version supports only one playlist at a time.
How to Add a Second IPTV Account (Xtream Codes)
- Confirm TiviMate Premium is active: Settings → Premium — should show "Premium active"
- From TiviMate main screen, go to Settings → Playlists
- Tap the + (Add) button in the top-right corner
- Select Xtream Codes API (recommended) or M3U URL
- For Xtream Codes: enter the second provider's Server URL, Username, and Password → tap Add
- Give the playlist a custom name (e.g., "Backup IPTV" or "Kids Channels") to easily identify it
- TiviMate will load the new playlist in the background — you'll see a notification when it's ready
How to Switch Between Playlists
- From the TiviMate main screen (channel list visible), press the Menu or ☰ button on your remote to open the left sidebar
- Look for the playlist selector — it appears as a globe icon or shows your current playlist name at the top of the sidebar
- Select it and a list of all your added playlists will appear
- Highlight the playlist you want and press OK / Select
- TiviMate switches to the new playlist — channel list, EPG, and favorites all update to reflect the selected account
Per-Playlist Settings & Organization
Each playlist in TiviMate maintains completely separate settings:
| Setting | Per Playlist or Global? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Favorites list | Per playlist | Favorites added in Playlist A don't appear in Playlist B |
| Channel groups / order | Per playlist | Hide, reorder, and rename groups independently per account |
| EPG source | Per playlist | Xtream auto-EPG or separate XMLTV URL per playlist |
| Player settings (decoder, buffer) | Global | Player settings apply to all playlists — set once for best results |
| Recording storage | Global | All recordings go to the same storage location |
| Parental PIN | Global | One PIN covers all playlists — not per-playlist |
| Catch-up settings | Per playlist | Catch-up availability depends on each provider's support |
Best Practices for Multiple Accounts
- Name playlists clearly — use descriptive names like "Main IPTV – Sports" and "Backup IPTV" for fast identification
- Set up favorites immediately after adding each playlist — navigation is much faster with a curated favorites list
- Use Xtream Codes method for all accounts if possible — EPG auto-loads without a separate XMLTV URL
- Set EPG update time to 3:00 AM across all playlists to avoid competing EPG fetches during prime time
- Keep one playlist as a backup from a different IPTV provider — if your main provider has server issues, you're covered instantly
- The multi-connection tiers (2-connection, 3-connection plans) allow the same account on multiple devices simultaneously, not multiple accounts in one TiviMate
