Two Ways to Install TiviMate
Method 1: Sideload via Downloader App (Fire Stick)
Method 2: Google Play Store (Android TV)
Step 1: Enable Developer Options on Fire Stick
Before installing any sideloaded app, you must enable "Apps from Unknown Sources" on your Fire Stick. Do this once and it's set for all future sideloads:
- From the Fire Stick home screen, navigate to the top menu and select Settings
- Scroll right and select My Fire TV (on older models: "Device")
- Select Developer Options
- Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources → select Turn On on the confirmation prompt
- Also turn on ADB Debugging (helps with sideload compatibility)
Step 2: Install Downloader App
The Downloader app by AFTVnews is a free, legitimate app in the Amazon App Store that lets you download any URL — including APK files:
- From the Fire Stick home screen, press the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the top menu
- Type "Downloader" and select it from the search results
- Select the Downloader app by AFTVnews (orange icon) → select Get or Download
- Wait for install to complete, then select Open
- Allow Downloader access to storage when prompted
Step 3: Download and Install TiviMate APK
- Open Downloader — you'll see a URL entry box
- In the URL field, enter the official TiviMate APK URL from the TiviMate website and press Go. Alternatively, search "tivimate apk" to find the current download URL.
- Downloader will fetch and download the APK file — wait for the download to complete
- When the download finishes, Downloader will prompt you to Install — select Install
- Wait for the installation to complete — select Open to launch TiviMate immediately, or Done to close
- Optional: Select Delete to remove the APK installer file after installation to free up Fire Stick storage
Step 4: First-Time TiviMate Setup (After Install)
- Open TiviMate → Select Add playlist
- Choose your connection method: Xtream Codes API (recommended) or M3U URL
- For Xtream Codes: enter your IPTV provider's Server URL, Username, and Password
- For M3U: paste your M3U playlist URL (with
output=tsfor Fire Stick) - TiviMate will load your channel list — this may take 1–3 minutes for large playlists
- Navigate to your channel groups and start streaming
TiviMate on Android TV (Google Play Method)
- From your Android TV home screen, open Google Play Store
- In the search bar, type "TiviMate" and select the official TiviMate IPTV Player result
- Select Install and wait for the download to complete (the app is about 15 MB)
- Select Open and follow the first-time setup steps above to add your playlist
