What is TiviMate?
TiviMate is a popular IPTV player app for Android and Amazon Firestick. It plays live TV channels and on-demand content from any IPTV subscription using M3U playlists or Xtream Codes credentials. TiviMate provides a polished TV-style interface with a built-in 7-day EPG (electronic program guide), catch-up TV, picture-in-picture, and multi-playlist support. It is free to download with an optional TiviMate Premium upgrade ($4.99/year).
TiviMate does not provide channels or content on its own — it is purely a player. You need an IPTV subscription (like iptv-service-subscription.us) that gives you an M3U URL or Xtream Codes login. TiviMate connects to your subscription and presents all 50,000+ channels in a clean, fast interface that feels like native Smart TV software.
TiviMate was developed by a small independent team and first released in 2019. It quickly became the most recommended IPTV player in the Firestick and Android TV community because of its speed, stability, and intuitive interface — far surpassing older players like IPTV Smarters Pro in UI quality. It is available on Google Play Store for Android devices and must be sideloaded on Amazon Firestick.

How to Install TiviMate on Firestick
TiviMate is not on the Amazon App Store — you must sideload it using the Downloader app and a TiviMate downloader code. Get the latest code from downloadercodes.com/tivimate/, enter it in the Downloader app on your Firestick, and install the APK. Total time: under 5 minutes.
⏱️ Time required: ~5 minutes | 📶 Internet required | 💰 Cost: Free | ✅ Works on all Firestick models (HD, 4K, 4K Max, Fire TV Cube)
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources on Firestick
On your Firestick: go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Enable Install Unknown Apps and — once Downloader is installed — turn on its toggle. This allows sideloading APK files.
Install the Downloader app from Amazon App Store
Press Home → Find → Search. Type Downloader and install the free app by AFTVnews. This is the tool used to download and install APK files on Firestick.
Get the TiviMate downloader code
Visit downloadercodes.com/tivimate/ on a phone or computer to get the current TiviMate downloader code — a short numeric code that redirects to the latest TiviMate APK. Codes are updated regularly to keep the download link active.
Enter the code in Downloader and install TiviMate
Open the Downloader app on your Firestick. In the URL/code input field, enter the TiviMate downloader code and tap Go. Downloader will fetch and download the TiviMate APK. When prompted, tap Install.
Open TiviMate and add your IPTV playlist
After installation, tap Open. In TiviMate, tap Add Playlist. Choose M3U URL and paste your IPTV provider's M3U link — or choose Xtream Codes and enter your server URL, username, and password. TiviMate will load your full channel list automatically.
TiviMate on Android TV & Onn 4K Plus
On the Onn 4K Plus (and all Android TV devices), installing TiviMate is much simpler than Firestick — no sideloading required. Open the Google Play Store, search for "TiviMate IPTV Player", and install directly. The Onn 4K Plus runs Android TV, making it fully Google Play compatible.
How to install TiviMate on Onn 4K Plus (Google TV)
- On your Onn 4K Plus, open the Google Play Store
- Search for "TiviMate IPTV Player"
- Tap Install — no sideloading, no downloader code needed
- Open TiviMate → Add Playlist → enter your M3U URL or Xtream Codes
- Your 50,000+ channels load automatically
TiviMate on Android phones and tablets
TiviMate is available on Google Play Store for all Android phones and tablets. Search for "TiviMate IPTV Player" and install directly. After adding your IPTV playlist via M3U or Xtream Codes, you get the full channel library on your phone — ideal for watching away from home.
📱 TiviMate on iPhone / iOS? TiviMate is Android-only and is not available on iPhone or iPad. For iOS devices, use GSE Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters Pro from the App Store instead.
How to use TiviMate with an IPTV subscription
TiviMate supports two IPTV connection methods. Your IPTV provider will send both options to your email after signup:
Method 1: M3U URL
A direct URL ending in .m3u or .m3u8. In TiviMate: Add Playlist → M3U URL → paste the link. Simple and universal.
Method 2: Xtream Codes
A server URL + username + password. In TiviMate: Add Playlist → Xtream Codes API → enter all three. Enables catch-up TV and VOD browsing natively in TiviMate Premium.
Recommended TiviMate settings for best quality
- Player: Use ExoPlayer (default) for the best 4K/HDR performance on Firestick 4K
- EPG Source: Xtream Codes built-in (if your provider supports it) or add an XMLTV URL for a 14-day guide
- Auto Update: Enable in Premium — keeps your channel list fresh without manual refresh
- Buffer size: Increase to 60 seconds in Settings → Player if you experience occasional buffering
- Channel groups: Pin your most-watched groups (USA, Sports, News) for quick access
TiviMate error: HTTP data source exception
The TiviMate "HTTP data source exception" error means TiviMate cannot connect to your IPTV stream. The most common causes are: expired subscription, incorrect M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials, ISP throttling, or a temporary server issue with your IPTV provider.
How to fix TiviMate HTTP data source exception
- Check your subscription status — Log in to your IPTV provider dashboard and confirm your account is active and not expired. An expired subscription is the #1 cause of this error.
- Verify your M3U URL or Xtream Codes — Copy your credentials directly from your provider's welcome email. A single wrong character causes this error.
- Refresh your playlist — In TiviMate, go to your playlist settings and tap Refresh/Update. A stale or expired M3U link will throw this error.
- Switch TiviMate player — Go to Settings → Player and switch from ExoPlayer to VLC player (or vice versa). Some streams have codec incompatibilities.
- Test your internet connection — Run a speed test. TiviMate HD streaming needs at least 10 Mbps; 4K needs 25 Mbps. Reboot your router.
- Try a VPN — If your ISP is throttling streaming traffic, a VPN often resolves the HTTP data source exception immediately.
- Contact your IPTV provider — If none of the above works, your provider's server may be temporarily down. Contact iptv-service-subscription.us support (24/7) →
⚠️ If you recently renewed or bought a new subscription and still see this error, wait 5 minutes after activation — credentials sometimes take a moment to propagate to all servers.
