Fastest EPG method: Connect via Xtream Codes API and EPG loads automatically — no XMLTV URL, no extra steps. If you're on M3U, you'll need to add an XMLTV URL manually (Method 2 below).
Method 1: Xtream Codes — EPG Auto-Loads
When you add your IPTV subscription via Xtream Codes API, IPTV Smarters Pro automatically fetches your EPG data from the provider's server. Nothing extra is required:
- Add your IPTV via Xtream Codes API (Settings → Add New User → Xtream Codes API)
- After channels load, tap any channel — the EPG information appears immediately below the channel name in the guide view
- To see the full program guide: in the Live TV section, press the EPG / Guide button on your remote or tap the calendar icon
- Browse past and future programs — past shows with catch-up will show a rewind icon
Method 2: M3U URL — Add XMLTV EPG Manually
- After adding your M3U playlist, open Settings in IPTV Smarters Pro
- Navigate to EPG (or "EPG URL" on some versions)
- Tap Add EPG URL → paste your provider's XMLTV URL (your provider sends this along with your M3U credentials)
- Tap Save
- Tap "Get EPG" or "Update EPG" — EPG data downloads (1–5 minutes for 7-day, 5–10 minutes for 14-day)
- Return to Live TV — channels now show program information in the guide

Fixing Blank EPG — Troubleshooting
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| EPG blank on all channels | No EPG URL (M3U setup) | Add XMLTV URL in Settings → EPG |
| EPG blank after adding URL | EPG still downloading | Wait 5–10 min; tap "Get EPG" again |
| EPG shows on some channels only | TVG-ID mismatch | Contact provider — EPG IDs need to match |
| EPG times wrong (offset) | Wrong time zone | Settings → EPG → Time Offset → set your UTC offset |
| EPG disappeared after app update | Cache cleared by update | Tap Get EPG again to re-download |
| EPG loads for 1–2 days only | Provider only provides 7-day | Contact provider to upgrade EPG coverage |
