IPTV Smarters Pro is not directly available on Samsung Smart TV's Tizen app store in the US. But there are three working methods to watch IPTV on your Samsung TV: (1) Install Smart IPTV (SIPTV) from the Samsung Smart Hub — this is the best native Samsung IPTV app. (2) Use SS IPTV or GSE Smart IPTV from Smart Hub if available in your region. (3) Plug an Amazon Fire Stick into your Samsung TV's HDMI port and run IPTV Smarters Pro on the Fire Stick. Method 3 is the most reliable for all Samsung models.
Here's the reality of the Samsung IPTV situation in 2026: Samsung's Tizen OS is a closed ecosystem, and IPTV Smarters Pro — which is an Android app — simply doesn't have a native Tizen version available in the US Samsung Smart Hub. This catches a lot of people off guard, especially if they're coming from an Android TV device where IPTV Smarters just works out of the box.
But don't worry — there are excellent workarounds and alternatives. I've set up IPTV on three different Samsung TVs (a 2021 65-inch, a 2023 55-inch, and a 2024 75-inch QLED) and I'll walk you through what actually works. By the end of this guide, you'll have a fully functional IPTV setup on your Samsung TV regardless of which year it was made.
Understanding Samsung Smart TV and IPTV Apps
Samsung Smart TVs run the Tizen operating system — Samsung's proprietary smart TV platform. Tizen has its own app store called Samsung Smart Hub, and unlike Android TV (which runs a modified version of Android and can install apps from the Google Play Store), Tizen apps must be developed specifically for Tizen and submitted to Samsung's app store.
IPTV Smarters Pro is built for Android and iOS. The developers haven't released a Tizen-specific version for Samsung's app store. This is why you can't search for "IPTV Smarters" on your Samsung Smart Hub and install it directly — it simply doesn't exist in that store.
However, the Tizen app store does have a small selection of IPTV-compatible apps, and Samsung TVs also work brilliantly with external streaming sticks that run Android. Let's go through all your options.
Method 1: Smart IPTV (SIPTV) — Best Native Samsung App
Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Smart IPTV — commonly called SIPTV — is the best IPTV app built specifically for Samsung Smart TV (and LG WebOS). It's available in the Samsung Smart Hub app store and supports M3U playlists, Xtream Codes, and XMLTV EPG data — everything you need for a full IPTV experience.
-
Check Your Samsung TV's Year
SIPTV supports Samsung Smart TVs from 2012 onward (with Tizen from 2015+). On your TV, go to Settings → Support → About This TV to find your model number and production year. If it's 2016 or newer, you're in good shape. -
Open Samsung Smart Hub
Press the Home button on your remote to open Smart Hub. Navigate to the Apps icon (usually a grid/cube icon) in the bottom menu. This opens the Samsung app store. -
Search for "Smart IPTV"
Use the search icon in the Samsung Smart Hub. Type "Smart IPTV" using the on-screen keyboard. The app should appear in results. If it doesn't appear, try searching for "SIPTV." Availability varies by region — if it's not in the US store, jump to Method 3 (Fire Stick). -
Install Smart IPTV
Select the Smart IPTV app and click Install. It's a small app and installs in under a minute. Once installed, open it. -
Note Your Samsung TV's MAC Address
When you first open Smart IPTV, it displays your TV's MAC address on the screen (something like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF). Write this down — you'll need it in the next step. -
Activate SIPTV via the Web
On your computer or phone, go to siptv.eu. Enter your Samsung TV's MAC address and paste your IPTV M3U playlist URL from your IPTV subscription. Optionally add an EPG URL for the program guide. Click Send. -
Reload Smart IPTV on Your TV
Back on your TV, press OK or the Reload button in the Smart IPTV app. Your M3U playlist will load and all channels will appear. Navigation is done with your Samsung remote's arrow keys. -
Activate (One-Time Fee)
Smart IPTV has a 30-day free trial. After that, there's a one-time activation fee of approximately €5.49 (about $6 USD) per TV. This covers lifetime use on that TV — no recurring annual fee for the app itself.
Method 2: SS IPTV — Free Alternative for Samsung TV
SS IPTV
SS IPTV is another Samsung Smart Hub IPTV app that works similarly to Smart IPTV but is completely free. It supports M3U playlists and has a decent interface. It's available in Samsung Smart Hub in many regions (search "SS IPTV"). Setup is similar to SIPTV: note your device ID, go to the SS IPTV web portal, enter your device ID and M3U URL, then reload the app on your TV.
SS IPTV doesn't charge an activation fee, making it a good starting option. However, the interface is less polished than Smart IPTV, and EPG support requires more manual configuration. For a permanent, daily-use setup, I prefer Smart IPTV's $6 one-time activation over the free SS IPTV experience.
Method 3: Amazon Fire Stick on Samsung TV — Most Reliable Option
Fire Stick + IPTV Smarters Pro
This method works on every Samsung TV ever made, regardless of year or model. You plug an Amazon Fire TV Stick into any HDMI port on your Samsung TV and run IPTV Smarters Pro natively on the Fire Stick. The Fire Stick runs a version of Android (Fire OS) that fully supports all IPTV apps.
-
Buy an Amazon Fire TV Stick
The Fire TV Stick 4K ($49.99) is the best option for IPTV. The Fire TV Stick HD ($39.99) is fine if you mostly watch HD content. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max ($59.99) has faster processing for multi-stream scenarios. All are available on Amazon.com. -
Plug Into Samsung TV HDMI Port
Insert the Fire Stick into any HDMI port on your Samsung TV. Connect the USB power cable. Switch your TV input to that HDMI port using your Samsung remote. -
Complete Fire Stick Initial Setup
Follow the Fire Stick setup wizard: connect to your Wi-Fi, sign in with (or create) an Amazon account. This takes about 5 minutes. -
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
On Fire Stick: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Apps from Unknown Sources → Turn ON. This allows sideloading apps not in the Amazon store. -
Download Downloader App
Go to the Amazon App Store, search for "Downloader" by AFTVnews. Install it. This app lets you download APK files by URL — it's how we'll install IPTV Smarters Pro since it may not be in the Amazon store in all regions. -
Install IPTV Smarters Pro
First check if IPTV Smarters Pro is available directly in the Amazon App Store (search for it). If yes, install from there. If not, open Downloader and navigate to the IPTV Smarters website to download the APK, then install it. -
Set Up with Your IPTV Credentials
Open IPTV Smarters Pro. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter:
• Username: (from your IPTV subscription email)
• Password: (from your subscription)
• Server URL: (from your subscription)
Or choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL and paste your M3U URL. -
Enjoy IPTV on Your Samsung TV
Your channels, EPG, and VOD library load automatically. You now have full IPTV Smarters Pro functionality on your Samsung TV via the Fire Stick. The Fire Stick remote controls everything.
Best of both worlds tip: With a Fire Stick on your Samsung TV, you're not limited to just IPTV Smarters. You can also install TiviMate (widely considered the best IPTV player for Fire Stick), Netflix, Disney+, and any other Android app. Many Samsung TV owners with a Fire Stick plugged in actually use the Fire Stick for everything rather than the Samsung's built-in apps.
Comparing IPTV Methods on Samsung Smart TV
| Method | Cost | Works On | App Quality | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Smart IPTV (SIPTV) | $6 one-time | Samsung 2016+ | Good | Easy |

Troubleshooting IPTV on Samsung Smart TV
Smart IPTV Channels Not Loading
If you added your M3U URL via the SIPTV website but channels don't appear on your TV: (1) Ensure you pressed Send/Submit on the web portal after entering the URL, (2) Press the reload/update button in the Smart IPTV app on your TV — look for a refresh icon, (3) Verify your M3U URL is correct by opening it in a browser on your computer (it should download a playlist file), (4) Some Samsung TVs require you to fully close and reopen the Smart IPTV app after adding a playlist.
IPTV Buffering on Samsung TV
Buffering on Samsung TV's built-in IPTV apps is usually internet-related: (1) Connect your Samsung TV to your router via ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi — this alone eliminates most buffering on Samsung's built-in apps, (2) Run a speed test on your TV (most Samsung TVs have a Network Speed Test in the Settings → Support menu), (3) If using a Fire Stick, ensure the Fire Stick is set to use your TV's HDMI port's CEC power control to avoid Wi-Fi sleep issues.
No Sound or Black Screen
If channels load but show black screen or no audio: (1) Try a different channel to see if it's stream-specific, (2) Check that your Samsung TV's audio output is set correctly (Settings → Sound → Speaker Select → TV Speaker), (3) Some IPTV streams use AC3 audio which older Samsung TV apps may not support — TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro on a Fire Stick handles codec compatibility better than native Tizen apps.
