32 clubs play 6 matches each in 8 groups of 4. 16 groups match each Tuesday and Wednesday. Top 2 from each group advance to knockout stage.

16 clubs play two-legged ties (home and away). Winners advance to the Quarter-finals. Bracket is drawn after group stage completion.
🔥 Quarter & Semi-Finals (Apr)
Two-legged ties determine the four semi-finalists. The two semi-final winners advance to the Champions League Final.
🏆 UCL Final (May/Jun)
Single-match final at a neutral venue. The most-watched annual club football event globally. Typically airs ~3:00 PM ET on CBS Sports.

UCL match schedule — US broadcast times
Champions League matches are played on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week during the group stage (September–December). The two time slots are:
- Early slot — 12:45 PM ET (5:45 PM CET kickoff). Typically a CBS Sports Network game.
- Main slot — 3:00 PM ET (8:00 PM CET kickoff). Multiple simultaneous games; the premium matchup on CBS Sports with others on secondary feeds.
During the knockout phase (Round of 16, Quarters, Semis), matches still kick off at the standard 3:00 PM ET or 12:45 PM ET slots but occur on Tuesday and Wednesday for the next three months, with specific match scheduling determined by UEFA's draw.
